I have several Route 66 subjects linked through the navigation buttons on the left.
The first subject is a master index that includes most Route 66 linen postcards that exist. This index has evolved through the meticulous efforts of several postcard collectors who have made important contributions to its content. Nevertheless we know there are other linen postcards not yet listed so I would be happy to hear anyone's contributions or comments.
The second subject is a presentation of a number of Route 66 real photo postcard images. Thus far I have postcard images displayed from California to Arizona but more will be coming.
The third subject is a discussion on the Whiting Brothers chain of gasoline stations and motels which, while far from being exclusive to Route 66, were associated with the western half of Route 66 in its halcyon years. These pages offer a bit of history, a detailed look at the motels, an introduction to the gasoline stations, and even a look at some paper collectibles.
The fourth link is a rambling on my favorite Route 66 books.
